Assessment of research conduct and reporting
Randomized controlled trials are gold standard to evaluate the effectiveness of any intervention. However, reproducibility of results is the fundamental key to transfer research into clinical practice. One of the main obstacles to transferring research findings into practice is the gap in communication between those who produce research and those who use it. The adequate reporting is the basis to fill the gap. Indeed, poor reporting might compromise the results and conclusions of trials. We are interested in evaluating all methodological and reporting dimensions and elements of trials. The adequate reporting allows clinicians and other health professionals to apply the treatment in practice, guides researchers using previous research to shape future studies, and informs those analyzing the clinical trial data in meta-analyses to draw conclusions that are more reliable.
